Every account starts on a rantevo.com subdomain, which works perfectly well.
Connecting your own domain is about how the link looks when you hand it to
somebody.
You do this from rantevo.com, not from your booking site's admin — sign in there and open the domain step.
Buying a domain through Rantevo
Search for the domain you want and you will be quoted a price in euros before you commit. That price is live, not an estimate, so it is what you pay.
Pay once, and Rantevo registers the domain and sets its DNS up for you. There is nothing to configure at a registrar and no records to copy anywhere. The domain is transfer-locked, which stops anyone moving it away without your say-so.
While it says pending
Registration is quick; DNS is not. After a domain is registered it can take anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours to resolve everywhere in the world. Rantevo shows it as pending until it has verified that it does.
This is normal and there is nothing to fix. A few things worth knowing while you wait:
- Your
rantevo.comsubdomain keeps working the whole time, so nothing is down. - Both the plain domain and the
wwwversion are set up, so either works. - If it is still pending after a day, that is unusual — open a request from Support and we will look at it.
Renewals
Domains do not renew silently in the background. About a month before yours expires, Rantevo re-quotes the current price, charges the card on your account, and only renews with the registrar once that payment has cleared.
If the payment fails you will be emailed, and there is a couple of weeks of retries before anything is at risk. Nothing is auto-renewed at the registrar, so a failed payment means we do not charge you and do not renew.
Keep the card on your account current and there is nothing to do.
