A service is one thing a customer can book. Go to Services in the admin to add and edit them.
The fields
Name is what customers see in the list, so write it the way they would say it rather than the way you would write it on an invoice.
Duration is how much time the booking reserves. Make this the real end-to-end time, including cleaning up, writing notes or resetting the room. If you set 30 minutes for a job that takes 45, Rantevo will book someone into the 15 minutes you are still working.
Price is shown to the customer during booking. Rantevo does not take the payment; you collect it in person as you do now.
Description is optional and appears when a customer expands the service. It is a good place for "please arrive five minutes early" or what is included.
Assigning providers
A service is bookable only when at least one provider is assigned to it. This is the single most common reason a service exists but shows no available times.
You assign services per person under Providers, not on the service itself. If you have just added a service, go there next.
Why a service might not appear
Work down this list. It is roughly in order of likelihood.
- No provider is assigned to it.
- The assigned providers have no working hours set, or their hours fall outside your business opening hours.
- The service is longer than any remaining gap in the day.
- You are looking at a day inside a closure, or outside your booking window.
- The minimum lead time under Settings → Booking rules out everything left today.
Changing a service later
Editing a service changes it for future bookings only. Bookings already in your calendar keep the duration and price they were made with, so correcting a price does not change what an existing booking costs.
