Rantevo sends two quite different kinds of email, and they are controlled in different places.
Emails to your customers
Confirmations, reminders, and notices when a booking is cancelled or moved. These go out automatically, and there is no switch for them in the admin.
They arrive under your business's name, with your logo and colours. The address behind the name is bookings@rantevo.com for every business, whether or not you have your own domain: one address with a long record of sending reaches the inbox more reliably than a new one would.
The confirmation, and the email when a booking changes or is cancelled, are part of the booking: they go to every customer with an email address, and nobody can switch them off. The reminder is the customer's to choose. Every reminder email ends with a Stop reminder emails link. Text reminders go to customers who leave the box ticked when they book, and stop from the link in their emails. A customer with an account can switch reminder emails and texts on or off from it, separately.
Emails to you
Under Settings → Notifications in the admin:
- Booking requests: an email when a booking is waiting for you to confirm it. It only comes while Confirm bookings automatically is off, and only owners and managers get it.
- Product updates: occasional notes about what has shipped, at most one a week, sent to the email your business signed up with. Safe to turn off; you can always read the same thing under What's new.
- Sign-in alerts: an email when your account is signed in to.
Booking requests and sign-in alerts are per person rather than per business, so turning one off affects only you. The account your business signed up with on rantevo.com has its own sign-in alert switch, under Account settings there, because it is a separate account.
We recommend leaving sign-in alerts on. It is the only email that tells you someone else may have your password.
The contact email customers see
Settings → Business has a Contact email. It is printed in your booking site's footer, an error screen on your site points customers to it, and your privacy notice gives it as the way to ask about their data. So it must be a mailbox you read.
With none set, the error screen shows no contact button rather than falling back to ours. A problem with your booking site should reach you, not us.
Changing your email or password
Neither is a setting in the admin.
- A colleague's sign-in email is the one on their row under Team. An owner or manager can change it there, and it applies as soon as it's saved.
- A password is reset rather than changed. If you signed up on rantevo.com,
use Forgot password? on its sign-in page. A colleague resets theirs at
/account/forgot-passwordon your booking site. - The email your business signed up with can't be changed from any screen. Ask us from Support.
